apoph28a@mozcom.comPLEASE FORWARD TO OTHER APO EGROUPS. THANK YOU. Dear Brothers & Sisters, The Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines (OPAP) is now harnessing the power of the internet to relieve our employment seeking countrymen the painstaking process of going from one Placement Agency to the other which process entails money and precious time as well. OPAP's innovation enables applicants' to send their resumés to an e-mail which will be included in the OPAP’s active resumé database readily accessible and searchable by its 500 strong licensed member agencies for deployment abroad. The said project was the brainchild of our very own Bro. Ernie E. Salting who also the OPAP’s VP for Internal Affairs and Web Project Director. The story does not end here. Through the initiative of the APO Commission on membership where "apo salting" is also actively participating as the Deputy Chairman, an institutional linkage between OPAP and APO was officially forged to work together in providing and bringing overseas employment opportunities closer to our job seeking members and relatives. On November 26, 2005 the APO Board of Directors unanimously approved the Resolution No.33 series of 2005-2007 authorizing our National President Bro. Jimmy de Castro together with the Chairman of the Commission on Membership Bro. Boy Lopez to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with OPAP and on December 12, 2005 the MOA between OPAP and APO was officially signed at the "Taste of L.A." at Quezon City. Job seeking Brothers and Sisters with updated APhiO IDs are encouraged to re-create their resumés using the OPAP Standard format that can be downloaded at the OPAP web (www.opap.org.ph) and e-mail it to apojobs@ipi.com.ph /opap1977 @opap.org.ph Yours in LFS, Bro.
